'Grimm' Season 3 Spoilers: Will Nick Return? Actor David Giuntoli is Unsure [VIDEO]
With Grimm's second season over, actor David Giuntoli spoke out about the shocking season finale and what's to come for season 3.
In an interview with TVLine, Giuntoli addressed the end of Tuesday night's season finale, which left his character Nick poisoned and lying in a coffin. The actor teased that one of the main characters "kinda-sorta dies" in a previous interview on May 15.
Giuntoli said, "A lot of people were thinking Rosalee or Juliette," in terms of who would die. When asked if there could be a Grimm without a Grimm, the actor would not give an answer, joking, "You know, Grimm World starring Silas Weir Mitchel."
As far as what this means for season 3, Giuntoli is unsure if he will even be on the show. Asked about the show's third premiere, the actor said, "I don't know if it's been written. I'm being honest when I'm saying I don't even know if the writers quite know. I assume I'm going to be on the show next year."
In an interview with Zap2it, the actor was equally uncertain of both the show's and his character's fates: "I don't know if it's going to go to Europe -- there's been talk of that. I don't know how I'm going to get saved."
However, Giuntoli seemed confident that he would return to next season with a muti-episode arc as a zombie. He said, "I think the zombie storyline won't go on for the entire next season, but we can expect it to last for a while."
Grimm maintained consistent ratings in its second season. Tuesday night's finale retained 97 percent of its viewers from last week, totaling six million viewers.
Grimm will be premiering its third season Fridays at 9 p.m. this fall on NBC.
