The Vampire Diaries spin-off, The Originals, will be shooting an all-new premiere episode in the fall for its official launch on The CW, as there will reportedly be a couple of alterations being made to its original (no pun intended) backdoor pilot.

According to Wet Paint, TVD will be jumping ahead in time when it kicks off its fifth season. If TO wants to keep its characters on the same pace, which would work well for any future series crossovers, then it would be significantly easier to do something similar.

At the present moment, Rebekah (Claire Holt) isn't exactly set to join her brothers in New Orleans. However, a circumstance in one of the upcoming Vampire Diaries episodes could force her to make the bold move.

Whether or not Rebekah's potential change would be because of Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley's (Phoebe Tonkin) newborn baby has yet to be determined.

The Originals is set to continue on Tuesdays at some point in October. Although no airdate has yet to be announced, Vampire Diaries Season 5 is slated to begin in September.

Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details on the highly anticipated spin-off and the vampire TV series.
