More information has come out on the sophomore season of The CW's hot new TV series, Beauty and The Beast, as it's reported that Catherine's (Katherine Kreuk) biological father is set to cause major problems moving forward.

Actor Jay Ryan (Vincent) recently spoke to TV Guide about Catherine's birth dad, and how he will be the cause of some major turmoil in Vincent and her relationship in the upcoming installment.

"[He] could break them up," he said.

Ryan also commented on what he would like to see for his character.

"I'd like him to find his mother and some of his platoon, if they are still alive, and give him a sense of community he could bring to his relationship with Catherine."

Executive producer of the TV series Jennifer Levin also gave her take on the ever so changing dynamic between Catherine and Vincent, and the difficulties they'll be facing in the relationship.

"We spent this season really bonding Cat and Vincent, and they are so strong together. I think next year we want to put some obstacles in their way and really challenge their relationship, so that's what we've been talking about, how to do that."

No official airdate has been announced for the start of Beauty and The Beast Season 2 as of yet. Keep checking back for more of the latest details on the show.
