Microsoft has just recently announced three new "classic" games that they will be adding to their Xbox One Backwards Compatibility games list, further adding to the hundreds of other titles that are already part of the program.

While the new games are indeed very popular titles, none of them are part of the top most requested games that fans want to be added to the program. The most requested one of course being, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

The announcement of the new games was made through Twitter by Xbox's community manger, Larry Hryb, aka Major Nelson. The first game that was revealed was PomPom Games' multi-directional shoot'em up, Mutant Storm Empire. The game is the sequel to Mutant Storm Reloaded, which was released for the Xbox 360's Live Arcade service, as per a report from Daily Star.

The second game in the list is the arcade compilation title, Midway Arcade Origins. The compilation consists of 30 classic arcade games released by Midway, with each one offering hours of gameplay for classic arcade fans. The last, and arguably the most popular game on the list is Bandai Namco Games' seventh main installment in the Tekken franchise, Tekken 6.

As previously mentioned, even with the release of the three new games to the program, fans are still pretty much frustrated that Microsoft has not heeded their request in releasing Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

Microsoft's own Xbox Team Head, Phil Spencer, even had to come out with a statement to explain the entire situation to fans, as per Express. Spencer explained that they really want Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 to be part of their Xbox One Backwards Compatibility program, but unfortunately that decision is really for Activision to make and not Microsoft's.

In the meantime, the Xbox Backwards Compatibility team is apparently still working to add even more games to the program. This month alone has seen the release of 13 new Xbox 360 games to the program.
