CBS' How I Met Your Mother will be airing its ninth season in the fall, as chatter continues to make its way across the web.
The end of Season 9 brought with it a shocking twist when the mother (Cristin Milioti) was finally unveiled. To top it off, she still hasn't even met any of the main characters yet.
However, rumor has it that Milioti's character will be meeting everyone on the show prior to her highly anticipated meeting with Ted (Josh Radnor), according to the Christian Post.
The latest buzz indicates that Ted will only get to meet the mother in the final episode of the program, which is set to occur during the midst of Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) and Robin's (Cobie Smulders) wedding festivities.
Executive producer Carter Bays had elaborated that both flash-forwards and flash-backs will be utilized in order to reveal the ultimate payoff.
"There's a time jump of some sort in every episode of this show, so you can rest assured the premiere will be no different. That being said, this next season in particular will feature some of the most non-linear episodes we've ever done," he said.
Bays had also spoken to IGN on the story arc moving forward into the next season.
"Our ninth season will tell the epic story of the longest wedding weekend ever. We hope you like it. Next stop, Farhampton," he explained.
Although no date has yet to be officially announced, CBS' How I Met Your Mother will be kicking off its ninth season at some point in September. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details on the show.
