More details on the upcoming season on ABC's Castle have recently surfaced on the very possible engagement of Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic).

According to TVLine, actress Molly Quinn (Alexis) recently dished the dirt on the upcoming sixth season. While she didn't exactly let the cat out of the bag on the specifics of the twosome's potential permanent pairing, she did manage to gloat about her onscreen father, and what he has to offer Beckett.

"Castle is the best man out there and absolutely loves her and is devoted to her. I don't think that Alexis will ever see her as a stepmom because a stepmother has authority. There's no way that Alexis would be OK with that. She's used to running the house. And not even her dad has that much authority," Quinn explained.

In a separate interview with TV Guide, Quinn had also chimed in on how she felt her Alexis character would react to Beckett permanently moving in the New York City household.

"She would see Beckett as an equal and she would totally appreciate [her]. But I don't think Beckett would ever try to [parent]. Alexis is an adult now. She's 20. If this happened when Alexis was 16, that would have been a totally different story. I'm very glad that it didn't happen because that would have been a lot of rebellion and a lot of trouble," she said.
