ZTE Press Invite Out For MWC 2017; New Nubia Smartphone Confirms Presence [Video]
ZTE has confirmed its presence at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2017 event. The company is expected to unveil with its much talked about sub-brand Nubia at the event as Nubia has also recently confirmed its presence at MWC 2017. However, Nubia is not hosting an event, though, it's just inviting people to head over to its stand at the industry's largest tech event.
ZTE has not confirmed when exactly its event is slated for; however, people will be able to catch a glimpse of the ZTE smartphone at 7A11, Hall 7, Fira Gran Barcelona as per the teaser. Even though ZTE has not confirmed as to which device it shall showcase at the MWC, rumors are rife that the Nubia Prague S2, which is the successor of the Nubia Prague S, will be unveiled by the company, GSM Arena learned.
According to Gizbot, the company has roped in Cristiano Ronaldo as their brand ambassador. ZTE recently unveiled the Nubia Z11, which is their flagship phone in India that goes directly against the OnePlus 3T with its specifications and pricing. Apart from the Nubia Z11, the company has also launched Nubia N1 with a massive 5000mAh battery, which is priced under INR 15,000 to take on the mighty Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.
NDTV reported that, if Nubia were to announce something at MWC 2017, it could be the successor to Nubia Prague S. However that's just speculation at this point. As mentioned, ZTE's will showcase its Gigabit Phone at MWC this year. The said smartphone will reportedly allow download speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second, which is also known as Gigabit LTE speeds. ZTE believes that this "would advance 360-degree panoramic virtual reality videos, allow for instant cloud storage, high-quality music- and movie-streaming, and more."
At MWC, ZTE could also add more smartphones to its Blade series. It is also rumored to be working on the ZTE Quartz Android Wear smartwatch with LTE connectivity. The company is also expected to shed some light on its Project CSX crowdsourcing project.
