‘Rock Band VR’ Release Date, News: PC Digital Copy + Guitar Controller Bundle Is Still Up For Preorders
The Virtual Reality-exclusive rock and roll simulator game from developer Harmonix and in partnership with Oculus, "Rock Band VR," is well on its way for release. Those who haven't preordered the bundle can rest assure as the offer is still up.
Those who will pre-order the "Rock Band VR" bundle on Amazon will receive one Stratocaster Guitar Controller and a digital PC copy of the game for $69.99, as listed on the product's page. Fans, however, can choose from two different options for the bundle, specifically for Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
Both "Rock Band VR" Guitar Controller options are compatible with PCs that can run Oculus Rift and the add-on Oculus Touch. Users who wish to use the controller on a different platform, however, may need the 2015 game "Rock Band 4" on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. This, of course, will depend on the preordered bundle.
In terms of features and contents, "Rock Band VR" is set to come with a 60-song track list, The Verge reported. The game also has a classic mode that brings back the note highway that many fans who played the past installments are familiar with.
In order to run the "Rock Band VR" on PC, though, the user must have a fairly powerful computer setup. To be more specific, the desktop that can fully support the Oculus Rift headset.
As listed on the game's official website, the computer rig must run on an Intel i5-4590 processor or even greater with 8 GB of Random Access Memory (RAM). Those who'd like to run "Rock Band VR" should also keep in mind that the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) card must be an NVIDIA GTX 970 or an AMD R9 290 or greater.
No word yet on when the pre-order bundle will end. But the "Rock Band VR" is set to be released in the global market on March 23.
