‘Battlefield 1’ DLC Update: New ‘They Shall Not Pass’ Clips Feature Fort De Vaux and Rupture Maps
A lot of new clips for the much awaited "Battlefield 1" first downloadable content (DLC), "They Shall Not Pass," have emerged online as the release date approaches. Fans can now get their first look at the contents that are to be expected in the expansion like the new maps, tanks and others more.
The contents for the "Battlefield 1 - They Shall Not Pass" expansion were first made available on DICE's Community Test Environment (CTE), according to GameSpot. The clips have showcased some of the maps that fans can expect on the expansion, particularly the Fort De Vaux and Rupture.
The Fort De Vaux map of "Battlefield 1" DLC "They Shall Not Pass," as noted by YouTuber Westie, will feature a wasteland terrain. This is not the only settings that fans should look forward to, though, as the map also offers an extension to a fortress and underground tunnels.
Next up is Rupture. This particular map is very much different compared to the other ones as it has everything pretty much intact including a rich flower field. Because of these qualities, Wesite has dubbed the new location as the "prettiest map" on "Battlefield 1" at the moment.
Meanwhile, for those who like total destruction are in luck as "They Shall Not Pass" DLC is now set to introduce a new behemoth tank in "Battlefield 1." This new vehicle, as what reports said, is called the Char 2C Super-Heavy Tank. It was based on the actual, real-world French tank used in World War I.
Another vehicle that players can use in when "They Shall Not Pass" gets rolled out for "Battlefield 1" is the St. Chamond. This tank, as reported by VG247, is the second heavy tank that the French army used in WWI.
The "They Shall Not Pass" DLC for "Battlefield 1" is expected to be released sometime in March 2017. Game developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts have yet to officially release any news about its price - or even its specific launch date. More news about the matter should emerge in the coming days.
