'Dancing With the Stars' Season 24: Cheryl Burke Out As Pro, Kym Johnson In? [VIDEO]
Arrangements are being made for season 24 of Dancing With the Stars, with the exit of one pro and the return of another.
Cheryl Burke is reportedly leaving Dancing With the Stars (again), according to a new People report. Burke competed in seasons 2-19, winning her first two seasons with Drew Lachey and Emmitt Smith, respectively. She then took a break and returned this past fall for season 23, dancing with Ryan Lochte. The pair came in seventh place.
She is expected to return to Love on the Floor, her stage show, this coming June while also reportedly considering hosting jobs.
While fans may be sad to see Burke go as quickly as she came back, one pro people should be excited about returning is Kym Johnson! Johnson is slated to dance with Mr. T this spring, according to a new Entertainment Tonight report. Johnson was last seen on season 20 where she was paired with Robert Herjavec, coming in fifth place.
Johnson and Herjavec would soon become a real-life couple, dating after the show and getting married in July 2016. This will be Johnson's first season as a pro since season 20.
The official cast of Dancing With the Stars season 24 will be revealed on Good Morning America Wednesday morning. Many of the new celebrity cast members have already been reported from many sources. In addition to Mr. T, the cast is expected to include Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, The Bachelor star Nick Viall, former figure skater Nancy Kerrigan, Fifth Harmony member Normani Kordei, Glee star Heather Morris, Saturday Night Live alum Chris Kattan, bull rider Bonner Bolton, actress and comedian Charo and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne.
Dancing With the Stars season 24 premieres Monday, March 20 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
