'Descendants of the Sun' News: Co-stars Song Joong Ki, Jin Goo Won Best Bromance at 12th Annual Soompi Awards
"Descendants of the Sun" co-stars Song Joong Ki and Jin won the Best Bromance award beating out nine other nominated series in the category. Song Joong Ki and Jin Goo got the majority of the votes from viewers from 139 countries who participated in the voting process.
The ultimate "Descendants of the Sun" bros were in tough competition with Park Bo Gum and Kwak Dong Yeon, Lee Joon Gi and Nam Joo Hyuk, Lee Min Ho and Con friends, as well as Hongbin and Lee Hyun Woo, according to the report. The "Reply 1988" crew, Jo Jung Suk and Go Kyung Pyo, Eric Mun and Sound Crew, Seo In Guk and Ma Dong Seok and Lee Jong Suk and Lee Tae Hwan were also nominated in the category.
So, it's not much of a surprise that the "Descendants of the Sun" won the Best Bromance award this year at the Soompi Awards because fans must have been quickly noticed their adorable friendship both on and off camera. Song Joong Ki played the role of Alpha Team Leader Captain Yoo Si-jin aka the Big Boss in the romantic TV show that went on to be one of the biggest Korean romance drama from last year.
In "Descendants of the Sun", Jin Goo played the loyal soldier Sergeant First Class Seo Dae-young also known as Wolf. Those two characters worked closely together in the special forces and their on-screen chemistry early in the show immediately won viewers over.
When talking about "Descendants of the Sun" fans, it's only left for them to hope that Song Joong Ki and Jin Goo will work together again in either some new project or a follow-up to the hit TV show that is yet to be confirmed. For now, after the recent 12th Annual Soompi Awards, their bromance just got to a whole new level and a testament to their friendship.
