Netflix's hit series House of Cards continues to gear up for its highly anticipated second season, as it recently nabbed two notable actresses to appear in its upcoming installment.

TVLine gave the confirmation on May 30 that Sam Page and Molly Parker will be joining the cast of the Internet hit show. However, the details on their character descriptions are still unknown at this point in time.

Page is well known for her television work on AMC's Mad Men and The CW's Gossip Girl while Parker is recognized for her parts in HBO's Deadwood and NBC's The Firm.

Impatient fans have had a pretty rough go of it trying to get their hands on early information pertaining to HoC's sophomore season. Showrunner Beau Willimon, who has been extremely adamant about not letting any info leak out to the public, had previously spoken to The New York Times on the creative brass' approach.

"We approached this creativity as a 13-hour movie. Knowing we had two full seasons in advance, I didn't feel the pressure to sell the end of each episode with the superficial cliffhangers or shock tactics in order to keep coming back, in order to jack up the ratings week to week," he said.

iDigital Times had reported that Netflix is currently in the midst of sorting out an airdate for House of Cards so that it doesn't conflict with its next project, Arrested Development. The respective date is expected to be at some point in early 2014.
