Fans of the CW's The Vampire Diaries are undoubtedly looking forward to its Season 5 launch, which will undoubtedly be serving up the vampire drama they've all grown to love.

One of the characters on the popular TV series that's surely been piquing their curiosity is none other than Bonnie (Kat Graham), who came back from the dead, and has been very successful at bringing Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) back to life.

Wet Paint stated that Bonnie's post-death abilities will allow her to take care of some things, as well as serve a bigger purpose than a magic spell, as she can now effectively communicate with ghosts.

In terms of McQueen, The Christian Post recently spoke to executive producer Julie Plec, who stated that Season 5 won't exactly be going smoothly for the character.

"Jeremy will not have an easy time of it. His first big hurdle is his cover story for being suddenly alive. So he'll struggle a bit with the return to the normal world," she said.

Although no airdate has yet to be announced, Vampire Diaries Season 5 is slated to begin at some point in September. Its spin-off series, The Originals, is set to start up again at some in October.
