With a whopping four months remaining until the return of AMC's hit series, The Walking Dead, there have been slim pickings in terms of the details on its upcoming fourth installment.
However, Norman Reedus, who plays the part of Daryl, recently gave fans something to get excited about when he spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the current progression of the production process.
"The scripts this season are just amazing. It feels like we've shot about three movies already. It's super intense," he explained.
Reedus also spoke about the increased presence of walkers in Season 4, and the fear that the zombies will be re-create moving forward.
"They've introduced a way to make zombies scary again. They're terrifying. The new threat is just unreal," he said.
The actor also commended new show runner Scott Gimple on his writing style. To top it off, Reedus even labeled them as the best yet.
"The structure of the writing is a bit different. It's so intense. These are our best scripts so far," he added.
AMC's The Walking Dead will be kicking off on Sunday, October 13 at 9/8 p.m. Central. The cast and crew are currently filming in Griffin, Ga.
