To the excitement of the TV series masses, HBO's True Blood is now under two weeks away from kicking off what should be a highly exciting sixth season.

With her past hookups to Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), Sookie's (Anna Paquin) love life has been a large topic amongst fans of the cable network show for quite some time now. However, it was her near romance with Alcide (Joe Manganiello) that kept its loyalists on the edge of their couches.

Although several fans of the program are surely rooting for the Sookie and Alcide to get it on, TVLine reported that the prospect of a future romance developing between the two is more than likely non-existent.

To add to the drama, Eric and Bill had interrupted Sookie and Alcide's intimate moment, as the four were ambushed by a group of werewolves.

Interestingly enough, former showrunner Alan Ball had stated that Season 5's unideal close between the two "doesn't mean that the door is closed," but the two becoming an item still appears extremely slim, stated the site.

HBO's True Blood is set to return with its Season 6 premiere episode, which is titled Who Are You, Really?, on Sunday, June 16 at 9/8 p.m. Central on the HBO network. Keep checking back for more of the latest details on the cable network TV series.
