'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 9: Find Out Why Apollo Nida Wants His Prenup With Phaedra Parks Axed [ViDEO]
Apollo Nida might be in jail but he’s making lots of noise about his divorce with Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Phaedra Parks.
In the latest news, Nida has requested that the judge get rid of the prenup agreement that he and Parks created before they tied the knot. And apparently it was her spot on The Real Housewives of Atlanta that is said to have caused him to want a judge to grant him his request.
Nida, who is serving time behind bars after pleading guilty to several crimes (the main one being fraud), said that their financial situation changed just months after he signed the prenup in October 2009, according to TMZ Wednesday. Well, what changed? The two started making more money and even received more fame than ever when Parks inked her own deal with the reality series.
Nida said because of the “drastic change” in their financial situation, a judge should strongly consider changing their prenup as they get through their ugly divorce. It’s not clear what their prenup agreement is, but according to the publication, it doesn’t look good for Nida.
It also doesn’t look like he’ll be able to get out of the agreement, or have a judge change it, because it’s strong as an ox.
Parks has yet to comment on it if she will at all.
Parks filed for divorce from Nida after he pleaded guilty to the charges. He was sentenced to eight years behind bars and is currently serving time in New Jersey. Their ugly divorce has made headlines from the beginning and was highlighted this season on the hit Bravo show. Parks was portrayed as a single mother for the last couple of seasons as she raised the sons she had with Nida.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta returns for season 10 this fall. Keep up with Enstars for the latest.
