Amid rumors that Phaedra Parks will not be returning to Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi Burruss has admitted that she was the reason she almost quit herself.

"During season 9, I was feeling like I might want to leave because there was so much hate from fans online and I was having trouble because, how do you defend yourself from a lie?" Burruss told Us Weekly recently. "I've never had drama like that that lasted the whole season. It was very [crappy]."

The drama she's speaking of includes her former best friend, Parks, being the center of accusations that Burruss attempted to date rape their co-star Porsha Williams.

Williams brought the accusations to Burruss during an ugly screaming match early on in the season. But it wasn't until the reunion when Williams was in the hot seat that she finally said it was Parks who told her about Burruss. She actually revealed that Burruss had filed a cease-and-desist order against her, so she couldn't talk about the case. That's when she relayed it to Parks and revealed that Parks was the one who told her about Burruss and her alleged plan. It all came out that it was a big lie and Burruss had mentioned several times that she finally feels validated.

"But now I'm extremely happy that people were able to see the truth," she continued. "Sometimes I thought people would never know the truth and it would have been a stain on me forever."

Not only did the truth come out, but the revelation about Parks being behind it was a huge blow.

Now, there is speculation that she won't be returning for another season.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta season ten premieres on Bravo this fall.
