'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 9: Kandi Burruss Reveals How She Feels About Kenya Moore's Secret Wedding And NeNe Leakes' Return [VIDEO]
Kandi Burruss has a lot to say about Kenya Moore's secret wedding along with the return of NeNe Leakes on Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Fans of the show were not the only ones who were surprised about Kenya Moore's secret wedding. It turns out her co-star, Kandi Burruss, found out about it online, just like how everyone else did.
"And I had to call her like 'Yo! You're married?' Because I was thinking maybe it was fake," Burruss told E! News. "And then she's like, 'Yeah, I'm really married.'"
The secret wedding happened on June 10 in St. Lucia. Moore married businessman Marc Daly. They met through a mutual friend and started dating in December of last year.
"I have not met him personally but she has talked to me about him since last year, towards the end of the year," Burruss added. "So I knew she had met someone that she had really liked."
It has not been confirmed whether or not Moore will return to the show, especially since her husband is a very private man and does not appreciate how the show portrays African American men.
Moore was left to choose between her husband or returning on the show, which makes her return even more at risk.
"I don't know what he wants, but I'm confident that she's afraid to jeopardize her relationship with what comes with the show, which I understand," Burruss said. "It's a lot of tension. And for somebody that's never been on TV, it's a lot of pressure and it would have to be something for him to get used to. And not everyone is able to get used to it."
In other news, NeNe Leakes is coming back to the hit reality show and like the fans, Burruss is really looking forward to it.
"Bringing the blasts from the past back into the future, it's going to be crazy, I'm sure. I'm just hoping that the craziness is not on me," Burruss told Life and Style. "Come on now, give me a break this year. Hopefully, it won't be so over the top dealing with me."
"Since NeNe's been gone, I was the one that took a lot of the heat, different drama, you know, and I can not wait for her to help relieve some of this," she said on being a victim of rumors claiming that she and her husband, Todd Tucker, planned on drugging their co-star, Porsha Williams, and their mutual friend, Shamea Morton, one night in order to take advantage of them sexually.
"It will relieve the pressure," she added on Leaks' return. This will be the first time since 2015 that Leakes will be returning to the show.
Real Housewives of Atlanta returns to Bravo this fall.
