'Homeland' Season 3 Spoilers: Real-Life Circumstance To Result In Jessica Pregnancy In Next Installment? VIDEO & Details
Showtime's Homeland continues to garner interest over its upcoming third season, which is still a couple months away.
Since the news broke that actress Morena Baccarins (Jessica Brody) was pregnant, many of the show's loyalists have been wondering if or how the creative brass would work the unexpected circumstance into her Season 3 storyline.
While the pregnancy may be an unideal situation, the baby bump can clearly be hidden, as the crew did manage to do it last season for Claire Danes (Carrie).
"I was a little freaked out about telling the show - just because, as a woman, [I had] a sense of responsibility to my job and I suddenly felt like, 'Am I going to be disappointing everybody that I'm knocked up?' But life goes on ... Everybody was so kind to me. Claire's laid down the groundwork, and they're really good at hiding pregnancies now," Baccarins said.
Since Jess and Mike don't seem to be trying to have kids, Baccarins real-life pregnancy may not exactly be an ideal situation for the TV writers in the writers' room. Being that Diego Klattenhoff isn't a regular on the series any longer, it's uncertain whether Mike will even be around in the upcoming installment.
Showtime's Homeland will be kicking off its third season on Sunday, September 29th at 9/8 p.m. Central. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details on the popular cable network series. A Season 3 teaser trailer can be viewed below.
