'Breaking Bad' Season 5 Spoilers: Walter's Lies To Be The Death Of Him? VIDEO & Details
To the dismay of its loyalists, AMC's Breaking Bad, will be bringing its highly popular TV series to a close after its second half of Season 5, which is scheduled to hit the small screen in August.
One of the biggest questions on fans' minds undoubtedly has to do with the fate of Walter White (Bryan Cranston). While show creator Vince Gilligan didn't exactly dish on the teacher turned meth cooker's future, he did take the time to talk to Entertainment Weekly a bit about the pivotal character moving forward.
"We often said in the writers' room that if Walt had a superpower, it would be not his chemistry knowledge or his ability to cook crystal meth but his ability to lie ... Walt has been the world's greatest liar, and I think the person he lies most capably to is himself. So in these final eight episodes, perhaps the lies will cease to find traction and the scales will start to fall away from Walt's eyes. And when that happens, will Walt really begin to realize who he is? That's a question that we asked ourselves a lot in the writers' room this year," Gilligan explained.
AMC's Breaking Bad will be returning for the second half of Season 5 on Sunday, Aug. 11. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details on the show. The teaser video can be viewed below.
