'Scandal' star Kerry Washington dishes on a few things she has in store once she finishes her time with the ABC hit drama.

“I’m working now on ‘24/7,’ this comedy about three women in the workplace, and Eva Longoria and I are two out of the three,” she said during an interview with Allure magazine. “We basically walked into Universal and acted it out for them, and they were like, OK.’”

It will definitely be interesting and yet relieving to see Washington in a different type of role than Olivia, who rarely laughed during the five years she dominated the small screen.

Fans will have a hard time saying goodbye as Washington admits many approach her in real-life to solve their problems.

Still, “It happens all.The.Time. People call me to say, ‘I have this problem. Can I talk to you about it?’ And I’m like, ‘I don’t even want to know! Just skip over me!’ But I know secrets.”

Washington added that ending her journey as Olivia Pope is like a breakup.

“I feel like it’s sort of like people asking me what it’s like to break up with a boyfriend that I’m still in love with,” she told Good Morning America recently. “I don’t know what that’s going to be like.”

She also hopes to step into executive producer roles soon.

“It’s kind of like being the Olivia Pope of television. You get [to] change people’s lives and fix problems and be grounded and assertive and of service. So it really is a lot of things that I felt Olivia has taught me to do in pretend and then apply those skills when I produce.”

Washington signed for the female lead of the show when it first debuted in 2012. It was a pretty major political year with the second campaign of former President Barack Obama, so having an African American female lead nighttime television on a network received lots of attention. Washington has also starred in successful movies such as I Think I Love My Life, Save The Last Dance, Ray, and Django Unchained.

During her time on Scandal, Washington married her now husband, Nnamdi Asomugha, in a secret ceremony. She later hid her pregnancy on the show’s third season after writers decided not to write a pregnancy in for Olivia. The couple had a second child during the show as well.

Check out the last season of Scandal Thursdays at 9/8c on ABC. Be sure to keep up with Enstars for the latest.
