'Dexter' Season 8 Spoilers: Hannah McKay's Motives For Upcoming Installment Revealed, VIDEO & Details
Showtime's hit TV series, Dexter, is now just a couple weeks away from kicking off its eight and final installment.
After voluntarily making the decision to have Hannah McKay (Yvonne Strahovski) locked up in Season 7, many fans were surely wondering whether the blonde that made Dexter (Michael C. Hall) weak in the knees would be back for Season 8, which was eventually confirmed.
Executive producer of the cable show, Sara Colleton, recently spoke to TV Guide on June 12 about the creative brass' decision to bring Strahovski's character back, and also compared her to the blood spatterer's previous love interest, Luman Pierce (Julia Stiles).
"Most of the other familiar faces he's disposed of. Hannah brings back a more interesting complication. With Lumen, the act that she needed of revenge, once done, was so burned out that she really couldn't go on with her life and wouldn't have a need of Dexter, so it makes less sense for her to come, whereas Hannah has a few issues unresolved with Dexter," she said.
Showtime's Dexter is set to make its return on Sunday, June 30 at 9/8 p.m. Central. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details on America's favorite serial killer. Check out the promo trailer for Season 8 below.
