Although there's no clear-cut dirt on Castle's upcoming sixth installment has come out in the past couple of days, the creative team is indeed hard at work on penning ABC's crime drama.

According to Carter Matt, the writers are currently in the midst of hammering out the minute of details on the program, which will reportedly be honing in on Castle's (Nathan Fillion's) proposal to Beckett (Stana Katic). They're said to be in the midst of mapping out the plot points for its early season story arcs.

CastleTV recently reported that Marc Dube, who's known for his work on Mistresses and Pushing Daisies, will be joining the writing staff. Ironically enough, the hubby and wife tandem of Chad and Dara Creasy, also of Mistresses and Pushing Daisies, are also on board.

Dara had recently taken to Twitter to dish on one of the vices in the writer's room, which is strikingly similar to that of Castle's cast.

"One way in which #Castle the writers room is exactly like #Castle the show is in the amount of coffee consumed," she wrote.

Although no airdate has yet to be officially revealed, all indications point to the show starting up again on either Monday, September 23 or the following week, stated the TV site.
