With 13 men left in the running for Desiree's emotions, the Bachelorette had to make some tough decision while visiting the Jersey shore.

Let Our Love Shine Through: After traveling to Atlantic City, N.J., Brad scores his first one-on-one date with Desiree. A single father with a 3-year-old son, Brad seems to have loosened up somewhat since confiding in Desiree about his family situation. His fun-loving side shone through as the pair took in the attractions of the boardwalk, riding the carousel and snacking on saltwater taffy. However, conversation stalled over dinner and Desiree was forced to make her first one-on-one date elimination. After failing to receive a rose, Brad was sent packing.

I'm Looking For Me Right: For the group date, Desiree pulled together the remaining men with the exception of James. In the original city of the Miss America pageant, the men took on a whole new type of competition. As they pit their talents, bathing suit bodies, and intellect against each other, three men came out on top. Brooks came in third, Zak W. came in second and Kasey walked away with first. Following a pool party, Zak W. received the night's rose.

Weather The Storm: James and Desiree embarked on their one-on-one date with the purpose of surveying the damage of Superstorm Sandy. Following a helicopter ride over some of the hardest hit areas, the duo met a couple whose home was destroyed during the storm. After evacuating their residence, the first night the couple spent in a shelter was also their anniversary. To make up for it, James and Desiree gave them their date, which involved a romantic dinner for two and a private performance by Darius Rucker. James and Desiree headed to a bar instead and James confessed to having cheated on a long time girlfriend. However, he admitted he had learned form his mistakes and he received a rose.

Decisions: Although Bryden was nearly ready to head home after feeling like things were not working out between Desiree and him, he decided to accept his rose and Zack K. was eliminated instead.
