'Big Brother 15' Spoilers & Rumors: New Twists Include 3 Nominees and 'Big Brother MVP'? [VIDEO]
An official press release from Big Brother producers on Wednesday revealed two new twists for the show's upcoming season.
Instead of two nominees for eviction every week there will be three, according to the statement. The Head of Household will have the added responsibility of targeting three of their housemates, potentially complicating the game even more. According to the press release, the process will be explained in greater detail in next week's premiere.
The second twist will let America decide who is playing the best game week-to-week by voting for "Big Brother MVP." Whoever wins each week will be granted a special power, which they will delve into more in the season premiere.
"The Big Brother MVP will force the houseguests to rethink their strategies," said executive producers Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan, "With America rewarding good game play, it doesn't pay to be a floater this summer."
Since very little had been revealed previously about the twists to the new Big Brother season, many have speculated as to what the various clues given have meant. The "Big Brother MVP" twist seems to be what Chen was tweeting about when she said one of the twists will guarantee a "no-floater summer."
With speculation that there would be more houseguests than ever before, new house pictures revealed on Tuesday that there are 16 keyholes in the wall. Barring some major change, there will be 16 contestants in the house, tying the record set by Big Brother 9 and Big Brother 14 for most houseguests ever.
The number of contestants was confirmed in one of the house tours given by Julie Chen on Tuesday when she said, "This summer you're going to see 16 new houseguests." Chen elaborated and teased another factor: "Out of the 16 new houseguests, there will be one familiar face, but it's not what you think!"
CBS will reveal the new houseguests on the official Big Brother website tomorrow.
Big Brother 15 will premiere on Wednesday, June 26 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
