New York Giants' wide receiver Hakeem Nicks has spent the last few months working his way back from a knee injury, which nagged him throughout last season, but he's ready to get back on the field.

"I'm feeling good," Nicks told EnStars on Wednesday, adding that he has a positive outlook on the upcoming season.

"I'm looking forward to a great season, contributing to the team in the best way possible and just being the best that I can be," he said at the P&G Everyday Effect campaign launch in New York.

With rumors swirling about his future with the team, which is ususally the case for players entering the final year of their contract, he didn't have much to say, expect that he's "happy to be a Giant."

One thing is certain, he has no plans to two-step his way onto the dance floor of ABC's Dancing With the Stars: Season 17. Although previous contestants have included football pros Hines Ward and Jerry Rice, Nicks isn't eying the Mirrorball Trophy just yet.

"If I do the show, it won't be while I'm playing," he said. "Ask me in abut 10 years when I'm not playing, and we'll see."

Last year, Nicks' teammate Victor Cruz turned down the ABC show.

Although his salsa moves from his signature touchdown dance are widely popular, the Giants receiver won't be taking his act to Dancing With The Stars anytime soon, despite the fact that he ABC show would love to have him.

Talking to the NY Daily News, Cruz revealed why he turned down the invitation.

"I just want to be focused on football and focused on what's to come," Cruz told the paper. "I'm just not at the point in my career where I feel like I need to do that."

Cruz said taking his talents to DWTS would involve too great a time commitment.

"They said it was like 20 hours a week or something like that," he said. "I was like, 'I'm not down, I'm not down with that.' We're in the postseason, that's like 18 weeks. I've had enough practice."
