Tamar and Vince News: Tamar Braxton Sets The Record Straight About Relationship With Her Estranged Husband
After a tumultuous holiday, Tamar Braxton was spotted with her estranged husband, Vincent Herbert, on New Year's Day with their son, Logan.
The reunion seemed a bit odd since Herbert was arrested on Christmas Day for spousal assault. Now, many are wondering if the two are making amends and starting over for the new year. In this regard, Braxton has set the record straight on where things stand between her and her estranged husband.
Tamar Braxton Makes Things Clear
The singer took to her social media account to clarify that she and Herbert are not back together and that their main focus is creating a safe environment for their son.
"NOPE! Sorry! Not together but since the craziness the other day, we DID agree to create a better environment for my son!!" Braxton stated.
Braxton also wrote that this will be the last time the couple speaks publicly about their situation.
"My son can read and he's NOT dumb #2018goals #praymystrengthinthelord I've made LOTS of mistakes and I'm just trying to be a better person," she added.
Braxton deleted her Instagram page since then.
A Messy 2017
Braxton filed for divorce from Herbert in October of 2017. While the singer remained quiet at first about her decision to call it quits, she did shut down the rumors that she did it for publicity.
Rumors began to swirl that Herbert abused Braxton after her mother, Evelyn, stated in an interview that she witnessed Herbert being physical with her youngest daughter. On the other hand, Herbert has denied these allegations and that he assaulted Braxton.
Things got more dramatic when Braxton revealed that Herbert allegedly cheated on her and got another woman pregnant. Braxton stated that she was informed on Christmas by the woman, who she referred to as a "whore," about the pregnancy, which led to an argument between the two. Speculation has it that the woman who is carrying Herbert's child is Laura Govan.
Braxton also publicly slammed former Dream member, Melissa Schuman, who accused Herbert of verbally and physically abusing her. Braxton claims that Schuman was using "personal family issues" for her own gain. As fans may recall, Schuman also accused Backstreet Boy member, Nick Carter, of raping her.
Braxton and Herbert wed in 2008. The two began dating after meeting through her sister, Toni Braxton. The "All The Way Home" singer was married before to music producer Darrell Allamby.
