'The Originals' Season 1 Spoilers: Executive Producer Julie Plec Dishes On Brand New Relaunch, VIDEO & Details
Vampire Diaries fans are surely looking forward to its spin-off series, The Originals, which is slated to come out in mid-July. Although The CW network had aired its backdoor pilot during the fourth season of TVD, it will now be relaunching with brand new scenes.
Executive producer Julie Plec, who is known to usually be outspoken when it comes to her story material, recently dished about the highly anticipated program, according to Wet Paint.
"This is absolutely not Papa Klaus nursing and changing diapers and suddenly being a good guy, nor will it ever be," she said.
When she was in attendance for the ATX Television Festival, the EP said that there are "endless possibilities," but the "challenge with The Originals is to launch a new series that feels like a new series for people who haven't watched [TVD] before."
Plec also stated that the creative brass will be "starting the show like it's a brand new show."
The Originals is set to continue on Tuesdays at some point in July. Although no airdate has yet to be announced, Vampire Diaries Season 5 is slated to begin in September.
