Kordell filed a petition for divorce from Porsha on March 22 in Fulton County, Ga. The couple married less than two years ago on May 21, 2011.
The former athlete turned sports commentator wrote in his divorce petition that he should not provide alimony support to Porsha because she's an "able-bodied person earning income and is capable of supporting herself."
Porsha, who did not sign a pre-nuptial agreement, disagreed in her counterclaim that she could support herself. The reality star said her "earning capacity was set back significantly" when she stopped working for two years to help care for Kordell's son, Syre. The couple did not have any children together. Kordell's son Syre is from a previous relationship.
The details of Porsha's divorce documents were obtained by RumorFix.

Porsha wrote on her Bravo blog, during TRHOA Season 5, that she did not sign a pre-nup because "there is no place for a piece of paper to stand between us."
"We have the same beliefs when it comes to God and how we have our purpose shown to us by God," she wrote. "So through bonding with him in mind, body, and spirit there is no place for a piece of paper to stand between us."
Porsha said last month their split became so ugly that Kordell locked her out of their Atlanta home, and her attorney had to ask his reps for a copy of the key to gain access to her belongings. An insider confirmed the report and told TMZ that Kordell changed the locks and did not give her a new key. Porsha is currently residing with her mother, according to the report.
TMZ reported on May 26 that Kordell said he changed the locks for security reasons and also divulged that he had proof that Porsha is "financially negligent." He said his soon-to-be ex-wife earns a high income but spends most of it on "grooming and clothing items" instead of paying her bills. He revealed that she failed to pay mortgage payments on her condominium and the property is facing foreclosure.
Kordell referenced the condo to suport his decision of refusing to pay for Porsha's "suitable alternative residence."
