Due to Game 7 of the NBA finals, the show was put on hold, but fans can expect more drama and romance.
On the last episode, Andy (Missy Peregrym) learned more information about her ex-boyfriend, Sam's current girlfriend, Marlo Cruz (Rachael Ancherli.) After catching Sam (Ben Bass) and Marlo kissing in the precient's break room in the first episode, Andy was determined to find out what was so special about her. Traci (Enuka Okuma) revealed to Andy that Marlo has more experience that she does, with nine years on the force and five years in SWAT.
In the next Rookie Blue episode, Different But Not Better, Andy is goes out on her first job with Marlo and don't seem to get along with him. Their different approaches of handling situations on the job are put to test during a confrontation when an emotionally disturbed woman gets out of control. Andy and Marlo are left with a lifesaving decision to pull the trigger.
Meanwhile, the rest of the crew of 15 Division have a difficult task of tracking down an armed burglar, who has been robbing a a string of ATM's. Dov (Gregory Smith) is assigned to partner with the newest rookie, Chloe Price (Priscilla Fair), who he kissed passionatley in the bathroom bar in the last episode.
The biggest mystery from the last episode is the awkward look Nick (Peter Mooney) gave Andy when she entered the bar. Andy and Nick have a history together as friends and partners, but the question is, does Nick have feelings for Andy?
Peregrym told The Hollywood Reporter in May that fans may speculate a possible romance between the friends, but insisted that there is nothing else going on.
"It's not to be in a relationship [with Nick]. Nick has his own thing going on. There is a strong connection built there and we're just building on top of what we saw last season. They already have this very strong connection, but it's more friend-based," she said.
Rookie Blue season 4 airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
