While there hasn't been a whole lot of info on Season 5 of The CW's Vampire Diaries as of late, Ian Somerhalder (Damon) recently attended the Insurgence 5 convention, and gave a reaction to a spoiler that made many of its loyalists raise their eyebrows.

According to a tweet by TVD UK on June 16, the 34-year-old actor said "Oh s**t" upon hearing a rumor that Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) would be bunking up with his Damon character.

Executive producer Julie Plec recently told TVLine that Damon might have to switch up his behavior.

"It'll be a fun dynamic to see him either trying to exercise restraint or not being able to exercise restraint in the name of love of this girl, especially as he's got a new houseguest. He's [living] with Jeremy Gilbert as Elena goes off to college," she said.

Although no official airdate has yet to be announced, Season 5 of The Vampire Diaries is slated to begin in September.
