Gal Gadot Will Portray Herself In An Upcoming 'Simpsons' Episode
Gal Gadot dominated 2017. The Fast and Furious star became one of the breakout stars of 2017 due to her role as Wonder Woman in Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice League and the titular film, Wonder Woman.
Now the actress is starting off her 2018 by portraying something even more iconic: a cartoon character! And not just any cartoon character --Gadot will be featured on an upcoming Simpsons episode!
The Simpsons Featuring Gal Gadot
The actress took to social media to confirm that she will appear on The Simpsons, a show that she has favored since childhood.
The Israeli beauty will star in the episode "Bart's Not Dead" with the animated cast of the show. Unfortunately we'll have to wait a little while to see Gadot in cartoon form, as the episode is a part of the 30th season which will not air until fall of this year.
Also making guest appearances in the upcoming season are Game of Thrones' Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who will play his character, Jaime Lannister, and Stan Lee, who will play himself in two different episodes.
From Wonder Woman To Fame
Prior to her success as the infamous Diana Prince, Gadot starred in other hit movies such as Date Night, Knight and Day, Fast Five, Fast and Furious 6, Kicking Out Shoshana, Triple 9, and Criminal. After starring in Batman v. Superman, Gadot starred in the comedy Keeping Up with the Joneses opposite Zach Galifianakis, Jon Hamm, and Isla Fisher.
Though Wonder Woman was snubbed by the Oscars for best picture and best director (Patty Jenkins), Gadot will still put on her golden tiara and whip her lassle of truth in the Wonder Woman sequel.
Gadot was awarded the #SeeHer award at the 2018 Critics' Choice Awards, where she credited Wonder Woman for the fearlessness and bravery she projects.
"She's full of heart, strength, compassion, and forgiveness. She sees wrong that must be made right. She takes action when everyone around her is idle. She commands the attention of the world, and in doing so, she sets a positive example for humanity."
The actress had also won Best Actress in an Action Movie at the 2017 Critics Choice Awards and Choice Action Movie Actress at the 2017 Teen Choice Awards.
