Amanda Bynes is hard at work on a music career however, recent reports indicate that she is aspiring in to be a female rapper, the next Nicki Minaj.

Bynes first revealed she was working on the early phases of a music career in a tweet on June 12. She shared with her followers on Twitter that she was "looking forward to recording my album and going on tour!" and "I can't wait to see you all at my concerts!" she wrote.

E! News reported on June 18 that she was scheduled to meet Fugees raper Wyclef Jean on Monday to discuss working together on her first album. Ching Changa records CEO Daniel Herman told the news station about the possible partnership, saying he thinks Bynes working with Jean "would be perfect" and "linking the two of them will be something major."

Jean is "receptive" to the idea of working with her because Bynes has "such a great voice," Herman said.

On June 21, Rapper Waka Flocka Flame told TMZ that he plans to sign her to his record label Brick Squad Monopoly Records. Flame said Bynes has yet to officially sign a contract with him but the deal is "basically in the bag." He feels so confident about the deal being finalized and he has come up with a title for her debut album, titled Shots and added that "it's going to be crazy hot."

Flame also said began writing rap songs for the aspiring rapper and the lyrics will be comprised of positive messages such as "keeping her head up from the haters."

Hoping to follow in Minaj's colorful path, Bynes is already donning some interesting wigs. On May 24, the day after Bynes' New York City arrest revealed a mugshot that she has a shaved head, she sent a "S.O.S." style tweet seeking Minaj's wigmaker.

"I need Nicki Minaj's hairstylist stat! :-P" Bynes wrote on Twitter.

Bynes, 24, told InTouch Weekly in a report published on May 10 that she started wearing long, blonde wigs and had two piercings on her cheeks because she "wanted to look like [exotic dancer] Blac Chyna."

Chyna is a renowned exotic dancer and aspiring rapper who is reportedly one of Minaj's BFFs. Chyna welcomed a son with Minaj's Young Money Records label mate Tyga. It was rumored for years that Minaj's colorful wig look was inspired by Chyna, the sometimes model who has a 1 million-plus following on Instagram for wearing long colorful wigs.

TMZ reported on June 1 that Bynes purchased several wigs from Couture Princess Wigs. The article shows three Disney-inspired styles- the Cinderella, the Barbie and the Belle. According to the report, the three wigs cost $830.
