When it comes to the upcoming season of Fox's hit TV musical series, Glee, the topic of a Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss) marriage has seemingly dominated the Internet chatter.

While the potential union could very well lead to some intriguing storylines, there's seemingly more complexities involved in the respective scenario, being that the two aren't exactly a couple at the moment.

Although the secret about the proposal will almost certainly not be unveiled until the fall, Criss had spoken to Entertainment Tonight Canada, stating that he or Colfer weren't that keen on the timing of their characters' engagement.

"Chris and I have not been down with it from day one. There's a difference between shooting for marriage equality and having teenagers get married," he said.

After the rocky road the two faced in Season 4, Carter Matt suspects that its upcoming installment will feature the creative brass trying "to combine some of the best of both worlds."
