'Vampire Diaries' Season 5 Spoilers: Grace Phipps Dishes On 'Compelling Somebody And The Lore,' VIDEO & Details
The CW's hit TV series, Vampire Diaries, continues to garner buzz over its upcoming fifth season, which isn't scheduled to come out until the fall.
Following the death of Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), the character of April (Grace Phipps) abruptly stopped appearing at the former's front door, which has surely sparked curiosity amongst the fans over her whereabouts.
While Phipps didn't address any of her storylines, she did speak to Wet Paint about her hopes and aspirations for the character of April.
"I don't want to jinx anything. I really love being able to play that because I love supernatural stuff; Buffy the Vampire Slayer is my favorite show of all time. The idea of compelling somebody and the lore, it's such a betrayal of trust and I always thought about that just as a human being driving my car in Los Angeles I thought about how it's actually... you're being perpetrated on so much when someone is affecting your memory," she said.
"Even just working through the character off camera, that sort of betrayal and having to deal with that because her family is dead and everybody she trusts is betraying her trust," Phipps added.
Although no official airdate has yet to be announced, Season 5 of The Vampire Diaries is slated to begin in September. Its spin-off series, The Originals, will be starting up at some point in October. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details on the vampire TV series.
