'Revenge' Season 3 Spoilers: Gabriel Mann Talks Series Exits & Leaving the Show
Actor Gabriel Mann talked recently about the fate of the characters on ABC's Revenge, saying no one is really safe from leaving the series going into its third season in the fall.
News broke earlier in May that Ashley Davenport will not return to reprise her role as Ashley Madekwe, assistant to Conrad Grayson and accomplice to Jack Porter. Mann's character, Nolan Ross, has survived being cut from the show thus far, but he reportedly admitted to E! News that when the time is right, he could be the next star to exit the show.
"I learned about Ashley leaving from Ashley ... We've been made aware of it from the very first season that any of us could go at any time," Mann said. "So we were all under the impression that we are on a ticking clock to a certain point. But the beauty of Revenge is that nobody ever really leaves, so when they say that Ashley is leaving, I don't think it is quite as cut and dry as that."
Rumors circulated that perhaps Mann's character will be killed off by the Graysons while in jail, much like what happened to Amanda Clarke's father. He was seen in the season 2 finale being taken into custody by authorities and then questioned regarding the kidnapping and death of Padma, Nolan's former assistant and girlfriend.
Speaking to the radio station 104.1 2Day while in Australia, Mann said the show leaves all its stars up for the possibility of an exit from the series.
"No one is safe from being killed off," he said. "It keeps you on your toes, and is actually really exciting as you start feeling part of the performance. It keeps you going, on top of your game."
Revenge returns to ABC in the fall, airing season 3 on Sundays.
