Dax Shepard Cast In Fox's Comedy Pilot 'Bless This Mess'
Fox is bringing Dax Shepard to tickle the audience in its comedy pilot Bless This Mess. He will star opposite Lake Bell.
Shepard will play Mike, the husband of Bell's Rio. Bless This Mess will revolve around the lives of the newlyweds who moved to Nebraska after the Big Apple had become too much to handle for them.
However, it was not simple as it may seem for the couple. Shepard's Mike is a freelance journalist and is described as an optimistic hipster. Filming for Bless This Mess is expected to start in June.
This new project for Shepard is just one of the many comedies he has done. He is credited for Employee of the Month, Without a Paddle, This Is Where I Leave You, Idiocracy, and Baby Mama. He was also known for his role Crosby Braverman in NBC's Parenthood, which ran for six seasons.
Bless This Mess is created by New Girl's Liz Meriwether. She will also be executive producing the show with Katherine Pope and Shepard.
Love In Real Life
Meanwhile, of late, Shepard made headlines on Feb. 23 when he shared a photo on Instagram of his experience during the Olympics. Humorously, he shared a photo of him and real-life wife, Kristen Bell, and a wide television screen in their background projecting a blonde woman and a relatively young boy.
"There was a younger Dax and an older Kristen at the Olympics. See the resemb?" Shepard wrote.
Kristen was frowning, and Shepard was all smiles, mimicking the two in the screen. Many found the deed amusing, and some hailed them as relationship of the year.
This was not the first time the couple shared their sweetness via their antics. Kristen casually pops out of Shepard's Instagram account but, of course, in a comical way.
He uploaded a photo of Kristen in an oversized gray sweatshirt, which he said "fits like a glove." Shepard also posted a video of the 37-year-old The Good Place star showcasing her rapping skills as she used a brush as a mic.
Of course, there are those times when Shepard sounded serious in expressing his love for his blonde muse. On Feb. 3, the actor shared a photo of him and Kristen sharing a sweet kiss against what looked like a sunset in the beach.
Kristen and Shepard got engaged in 2010 and finally exchanged their vows in 2013 in an exclusive ceremony attended by close relatives and friends. They share two children, Lincoln and Delta.
