'Castle' Season 6 Spoilers: Tough Female Detective Now Being Cast, Is It Beckett's Replacement? [VIDEO]
ABC's Castle is gearing up for its sixth season, and the creative brass are indeed hard at work, as they're in the midst of casting some new roles for the upcoming installment.
According to Spoiler TV, the popular crime drama will be casting the character of Rachel McCord, a tough female detective who's in her 30s.
"We will see the introduction of another detective for at least a 3 Episode Arc. Her name is Rachel McCord and is a 30's year old no-nonsense, intelligent detective."
In other Castle casting news, the site also reported that the TV series will be attaching a laid back 20-something that could potentially serve to be a love interest for Alexis (Molly C. Quinn).
"A recurring character called PI is being introduced. He is an early 20's free spirit who meets Alexis while on vacation."
The respective news about the McCord character comes as a bit of a shocker since many fans will inevitably question whether or not she will come on board to be Beckett's (Stana Katic) replacement if the latter were to take the job offer in Washington, D.C.
Although no airdate has yet to be made official, all indications point to the show starting up again on either Monday, September 23 or the following week, stated the website. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details on the popular ABC series.
