NCIS: Los Angeles fans were left with an intense cliffhanger at the close of season 4, and many are waiting with bated breath to find out who will win the Callen/Chameleon showdown.

Currently Marcel Janvier (Christopher Lambert), also known as the Chameleon, has the NCIS team scattered and up against the boards. Callen (Chris O'Donnell) is forced to try and regroup his coworkers and open a war on two fronts.

Since Callen was the one who gave the green light on the plan to use the known international criminal in order to stop the sale of active nuclear weapons, the possible death of Sam (LL Cool J), Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), or Kensi (Daniela Ruah) would be on his hands.

"Give him an inch, and he will take everything that you possess - they were aware of that," executive producer Shane Brennan told TV Guide of the teams compromised mission. "But there was only one person who could pull this off. It was something they had to do."

The team has faced the Chameleon before and viewers were originally led to believe that Callen had killed him. Unfortunately for the team, that was not true.

"Callen knows that there will be a final confrontation, and only one of them will walk away," Brennan said, according to TV Guide.

Fans will have to tune in to CBS on Sept. 24 at 9 p.m. to find out the Chameleon's fate.
