The Daily Mail article, which stated that Alec Baldwin's wife tweeted during James Gandolfini's funeral service on June 25, has been deleted because of its inaccuracy.

The publication blamed the mistake on Twitter writing in a June 30 article, "A MailOnline investigation has established that the time stamps that appear under tweets are frequently wrong."

It goes on to explain that the first of Hilaria's tweets appeared to be posted at 8:47 a.m. and the last at 11:09 a.m., which would indicate that she was busy on Twitter instead of mourning for the Sopranos star. The publication also said that tweets were really posted three hours later than the time stamp suggested.

In the specified tweets, Hilaria spoke about her approaching one year wedding anniversary with Mr. Baldwin as well as discussing recipes with celebrity chef Rachael Ray.

A spokesperson for the Daily Mail said, "We accept Mrs. Baldwin's assertions that she did not Tweet from the funeral and apologize for any distress caused. But this was a genuine misunderstanding caused by a baffling defect in the Twitter platform and we would also call on Mr. Baldwin to withdraw his homophobic and threatening remarks."

The mistake, which the Daily Mail called a "Twitter glitch," led to the 55-year-old's series of angry tweets that called the journalist George Stark a "toxic little queen."

Baldwin's use of words backfired because his tweets were deemed homophobic by some. As Enstars previously reported, Baldwin later apologized in a letter to GLAAD and said his words were not intended to bash the community.

His wife also defended her husband on Twitter, writing that she "would have never married a homophobic man." She also made it clear that she doesn't "believe in bringing phones into a funeral."

"Today was supposed to be about remembering a friend, loving each other, treasuring life, & moving fwd w more appreciation for our fragility," she wrote on Twitter on June 28.

As for Mr. Stark, Hilaria tweeted, "I hope that this reporter knows how much pain and drama he has caused from his poor journalism. Lying and bullying are shameful."
