The CW network has finally announced the premiere date for the sophomore season of its well received program, Beauty and the Beast, which will air on Monday, Oct. 7 in the 8/7 p.m. Central time slot.

According to Hollywood Hills, the TV series is set to unveil a "big surprise for the fans" upon its return.

Actor Jay Ryan (Vincent) had recently dished to TV Fanatic about where he'd like to see his character go in Season 2.

"I really want to see him meet his mother. 'Hey mom I'm alive, this is who I am. I'm in love with this beautiful woman.' You know like, I want him to be able to share his life with someone else as well as Catherine because he's very isolated at the moment, and I feel like he's really grown as a character in series 1," he said.

In terms of character development, Ryan feels as though Vincent is finally ready to take ownership of himself and stand up for what he truly believes in.

"He's ready to own up to who he is, you know, a little more, and he's not as afraid of those forces that are after him," he continued.

Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details on the upcoming season of Beauty and the Beast. Ryan's aforementioned interview can be viewed below.
