Breaking Bad Beer Debuts for Season 5 Final Episodes: Brewery Pays Tribute to AMC Show with Heisenberg's Dark Beer [EXCLUSIVE]
Breaking Bad has their own brew just in time for the show's second half of the fifth and final season.
Marble Brewery, a 5-year standing local chain in New Mexico where the show is filmed, is creating a limited time beer for the occasion.
The brews will consist of a India black ale and an India white ale. The black ale is described as bitter and craving much like Walter's costumers and the white ale is expected to be have a pale, hazy character-sounds a little like his partner in crime.
The brews will contrast each other but as any chemist would tell us, opposites attract right?
India Pale Ale (IPA) is a British style beer that became popular among East India Company traders in the late 18th century because of the brewery's location and Hodgson's liberal credit line of 18 months. As we near the final episodes of Breaking Bad, we hope Heisenburg's street credit will last just as long.
The actor behind White, Bryan Cranston, 57, is shown posing in a picture in Marble Brewery looking smug with a cup of their beer.
The brewery has close ties with the show. Brew Master/Co-Founder of Marble Brewery, Ted Rice, told Enstars the cast of Breaking Bad frequently comes in after shooting the show. Rice says with his neighbor working on the show and his own house in appearance of an episode, he felt only right to pay tribute to its final episodes. After a fellow fan of the show approached him with the idea he decided to make it happen but the sensation following idea surprised him.
"I had no clue it was going to turn into this national fascination...everyone has been calling about how they can get this sent to them," Rice says.
Unfortunately, the brewery will not be bottling the brand and will only be distributing the drafts for a limited time. It will be available in a few other square states (Colorado and Arizona) upon request. Rice says their intentions are not to make great money off the brew, but to show tribute to a locally loved show.
They will be hosting a viewing party of Breaking Bad Sunday, September 8th.
