'America's Got Talent' 2013 Season 8, Episode 5 Recap VIDEOS: Chicago Boyz & David Ferman Go to Vegas
Tuesday night's episode of America's Got Talent featured rock bands, rappers and dancers, as well as other unique acts.
Here are some of the significant highlights from episode 5:
Chicago Boyz:
This acrobatic team showcased a creative jump rope act that had the judges on their feet. Judge Howie Mandel said that the group took "skipping and tumbling and added testosterone and excitement," while fellow judge Mel B said she definitely wanted to see more of what the group could do going forward.
Dylan Wilson:
The 17-years-old dancer performed an energetic routine with finesse and charisma. Judge Howard Stern said Wilson "mesmerized" him with the performance and Mel B refered to his routine as "hot" and "sexy."
American Hitmen:
The group perofrmed their version of Lynyrd Skynyrd's Simple Man. The four-man band of former Marines rocked the stage and Stern said they had great stage presence. Heidi Klum added that they were cool and confident, and their lead singer joked with her that he was confident until she started talking to him.
David Ferman:
Ferman's daring juggling and balancing act flirted with danger, which he hoped would win over the judges and the crowd. He was ultimately successful with the routine, which involved juggling tennis balls and balancing a burning Molotov cocktail. Stern exclaimed, "You're the first guy to come out here and risk my life!"
Lil Mike and Funny Bone:
The group is already getting the most views on YouTube, as of Wednesday morning, and this rapping duo's performance of their original song Do The Rain Dance, thoroughly entertained the judges and the crowd. Mel B said that she both loved it and hated it, while Klum said she was thoroughly entertained.
All five acts were sent through to the Vegas rounds. The season's sixth episode is scheduled for Tuesday, July 9 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
