Season 2 of BBC's hit TV series Sherlock left fans itching for more with a major cliffhanger, as their beloved Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) was accused of being a serial killer and faking his very own death.
Since the shocking ending of the show's sophomore season, loyalists have been patiently waiting to see just how Sherlock will restore his reputation and innocence.
Although most of the Season 3 story arc has yet to be revealed, Latin Times reported that the second episode of the third season, which is titled The Sign of Three, will reportedly feature Watson (Martin Freeman) meeting Mary Moirstan, the character that ties the knot in the books. Moving further along, Cumberbatch had spoken to NME on May 14 about doing a fourth season, saying that he's slated to do a minimum of three more episodes.
"We've all agreed to two more series but I could get into trouble for saying that. All I know at the moment is I'm doing these three [episodes of the upcoming series] and another three," he said.
BBC's Sherlock had been rumored to be making its return on Thursday, October 31. However, it was recently revealed that the program would make its return either in December or January 2014. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details on the popular TV series.
