Saturday Night Live cast member Jason Sudeikis recently addressed rumors that he was leaving the show when it returns in the fall.

Though Sudeikis didn't exactly confirm the rumors of his departure from the late-night sketch comedy show, he hinted at the possibility of him leaving in a June 27 interview with Modern Luxury.

"You never really leave that place, and it never leaves you," he said in the interview. "It's an emotional journey getting through a season, much less the final one."

The rumors began in May after cast member Bill Hader revealed his own exit. Fred Armisen confirmed his departure from the sketch series in a late May interview and insiders close to the show revealed that Sudeikis was also likely to be leaving after the May 19 season finale. The rumors were perpetuated when cast member Jay Pharaoh tweeted about the trio after the finale:

"Hader, Armisen & Sudekis [sic]-the talent of those three, and just them as people in general, will be missed, but we will be strong and carry on."

The tweet was quickly removed, which Sudeikis said could've either been of Pharaoh's own accord or producers of SNL told him to take it down. He also said it could've been because Pharaoh spelled his name wrong, saying, "It's a tough name to spell, S-u-d-e-i... It's that first 'i' that people usually miss."

Sudeikis was rumored to be leaving at the end of the 2011-2012 season as well but decided to stay on another year.

"Last year felt like just the right amount of thought went into it," he said, referring to his decision to stay on for another season, "and there were things that I was hoping to accomplish. I don't know if I have the same checklist of things I need to cross off now."

Sudeikis has been on Saturday Night Live since 2005. If he returns in the fall, he will be the third-most veteran cast member, behind Seth Meyers, who joined the cast in 2001 and Kenan Thompson, who joined in 2003.
