'Glee' Season 5 Premiere: 'Some People Let Go' Due To Evolution Of Show, VIDEO & Details
Change is clearly inevitable when it comes to a popular TV series such as Fox's Glee, which will be heading into its fifth season, which will kick off at some point the fall.
One of its standouts, actress Jane Lynch (Sue Slyvestri) recently spoke to TVLine about the ever so changing storylines, which will no longer be primarily constructed around Amber Riley, (Mercedes), Heather Morris (Brittany), Mark Salling (Puck), Dianna Agron (Quinn) and Harry Shun Jr. (Mike Chang), who will all see reduced roles moving forward.
"That's the nature of portraying a realistic view of high school: Kids graduate. They move on. I like that we're following some of the kids to New York where they're trying to make it as actors and actresses. But the show will evolve, and when a show evolves that means you have to let some people go, and let some storylines go, so that you can pursue new ones," Lynch said.
Interesting enough, the actress also stated that she herself has yet to read a single script on the upcoming installment of the program.
Although no clear-cut date has yet to be made for the show's return, Glee's fifth season will more than likely be coming back on Thursday, Sept.19 at 9/8 p.m. Central on FOX. The midseason finale should come out on either Nov. 14 or Nov. 21, stated the website. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details on the popular TV series.
Lynch will be the host of a brand new game show called Hollywood Game Night. Check out the sneak peek below.
