Nicki Minaj 'American Idol': Season 12 Judge Enjoyed Experience
Although Nicki Minaj hit a few rough patches during her time on American Idol, she still believes it was a great experience.
Despite the constant feuding between Minaj and Miriah Carey and bringing in some of the worst ratings the Fox reality show has seen, Minaj enjoyed being able to help young, talented musicians reach new heights.
"It was really inspiring, and I got a chance to see kids fulfill their dreams and be part of that," the rapper told E!. "No complaints whatsoever!"
Minaj also believes that she learned a lot who she is and how her fans and the American Idol audience see her while she was a judge.
"I had a wonderful time and I learned a lot about myself; I learned a lot about the world's perception of me," Minaj said, according to E!. "And I think it was a great thing for hip-hop to see me transcend, and then I can come come back and still do the BET Awards and still be authentic in what I do."
While Minaj and the rest of the season 12 judges will not be appearing in season 13, the 30-year-old musician is in the dark as to who will be picked to make next years panel. As Fox overhauls the flagging show, the most recent rumor states that Idol is looking to bring on a group of former contestants to fill out next years judges.
