'Walking Dead' Season 4 Spoilers: Zombies' Origin To Be Explored In Upcoming Installment? VIDEO & Details
AMC's hit zombie series The Walking Dead continues to garner a slew of interest over its upcoming fourth season, which is set to launch in the fall.
One of the topics that's made up a brunt of the Internet chatter has seemingly been the relevance of the zombies. In the past couple of seasons, the program's creative brass seemed to hone in on the threat of the human race against their own kind. However, the future installment is said to be getting back to its roots moving forward.
While the fourth season is said to be re-establishing the threat of the walkers on Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and company, executive producer Robert Kirkman had mentioned to TVLine in 2012 that the creative brass wouldn't be delving too much into their origin.
"I don't find that to be interesting at all. In zombie fiction, you see the outbreak, you see the first days and the craziness. In zombie fiction, you see the outbreak, you see the first days and the craziness in almost every other story told in this realm. I'm very proud of the fact that, for the most part, The Walking Dead has skipped over that part," he said.
In terms of TWD backstories, Andrea's (Laurie Holden) past with Michonne (Danai Gurira) had been mentioned as a possibility for Season 4. However, much like the beginnings of the zombies, nothing has been confirmed as of yet
