The CW's hit TV series, Vampire Diaries, is currently on hiatus until its highly anticipated Season, which is set to premiere this upcoming fall.

One of the subjects surely on fans' minds is the status of Stefan (Paul Wesley), who was recently taken over by Silas. The former was actually keen on leaving Mystic Falls, as he had to witness his brother Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) rekindling their romance.

However, due to the circumstances, and the fact that Silas isn't a Salvatore, the tension between the siblings will most likely increase tenfold.

According to Wet Paint, the former "should get in good with Damon, learn the guy's weaknesses, and strike when he least expects it."

While doing some press in Brazil, Wesley explained to the Brazilian entertainment site Papel Pop that he knew very little about what the fifth season entails for his character.

"I know that I'm going to play Silas. That's the extent of my knowledge," he said.

The Vampire Diaries is slated to kick off its fifth season on Thursday, October 10 on The CW. Its spin-off series, The Originals, is set to launch its first season on Tuesday, October 15.
