ABC's hit crime series Castle continues to garner interest for its upcoming sixth season, which is set to kick off in the fall.

Actress Tamala Jones, who dons the role of Lanie on the popular program, took to Twitter on July 6 to hype up the upcoming installment.

"S6 is going to be explosive!!! I hope you guys are ready!!!!!!"

Speaking of Lanie, Carter Matt had reported that "the Lanie/Esposito [Jon Huertas] relationship is not going to be masked as it was during season 5," as the creative brass will be revealing some more about the character, where she's from, and whether the twosome is capable of having a successful relationship.

In other Castle happenings, SpoilerTV revealed that the show will be attaching a brand new character being referred to as PI, a free spirited male who chances are, is a private investigator. The newbie is rumored to be getting involved with Castle's daughter Alexis (Molly Quinn).

Although no airdate has yet to be made official, all indications point to the show starting up again on either Monday, September 23 or the following week, stated Carter Matt. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details on the popular ABC series.
